TELEVISION SPECIAL

Together We Rise chronicles the ongoing struggle for women’s rights transformed forever in the pivotal moment of the passage of the 19th Amendment,  and documented up to modern times.
 
The program, an exciting mix of musical performances, dramatic readings, and historical footage, brings to glittering life the stories of passion, sacrifice and inspiration that have enabled women to achieve milestones well beyond their dreams. 

  • Trailblazing Women who achieved “firsts” in many areas and opened the doors before and after 1920 will be highlighted against the backdrop of music that stirred hearts and minds. 
 
  • Top Performers from all music genres will unite in a once-in-a-lifetime gathering to share their songs of empowerment and hopes for justice.
 
  • Celebrity Storytellers in arts, politics, sports and science will illuminate the journey of the suffragists as well as the milestone achievements of the ensuing years. 
 
The program highlights the accomplishments of those who founded the women’s movement as well as those who pushed it forward in the subsequent 100 years, and in so doing, it reminds today’s generation that they stand on the shoulders of giants, and they have a civic duty to be active, strong, and dedicated to the continuing battle for equality.​
